I was scheduled for an interview and was even given a reminder that the interview was coming up an hour before the scheduled time. I was very excited for the opportunity because this would be a dream job for me personally. The time came but nobody called me. I tried to email the contact that was given but still, nothing. It was very discouraging but hopefully there will be another opportunity in the future.

The Recruiter called me late, she accidentally muted herself on TWO occasions where I could not hear her, her questions were all over the place and did flow (asked me if I had any questions before the general interview questions). The recruiter clearly hadn't even taken a second to review my resume beforehand and had no idea I was from a different country. She asked me if would require a work visa and sponsorship despite me putting that on my application. She was so disengaged and quite frankly very rude. I will never apply to another job at Disney.

Initial discussions took place with recruiters after they approached me on LinkedIn. Following this I met with the hiring manager. The conversation was very relaxed and focused on general debates around other and current strategy. The next round was with the Head of Compensation, also a great discussion and focused on getting to know you and how you think in a positive way.

The Disney HR team has a tendency to mislead and demand interviews the same day because "no other time works". I first had a screening interview with a recruiter which I passed and then moved on to the next round. She said she'd be in touch with dates to confirm but ghosted me for about two weeks before following up and acting like nothing happened despite my 2 emails telling her that I had never received the availability from the team. I let that one slide and scheduled an interview panel meeting where I met with 4 coworkers. They were the least friendly bunch I had ever met. Barely put in an effort to hold a conversation and acted like they didn't even want to be there. Being a natural conversationalist, I spoke about various topics of interest and got them to open up a bit based on common interests. Despite all of this they still didn't ask many questions. Almost as if they had hired someone internally already. I looked up the official job title on LinkedIn and exactly as I thought they had hired someone internally for the position who was less qualified. The recruiter then called 2 days later giving some excuse that I just didn't have the "years" of experience despite me having double the years of experience at reputable companies in the industry. This recruiter left a voicemail trying to pawn off another position to me but when I called her back for more information she never returned my call or my follow up email. Beware of this company as the HR team seems to interview a bunch of candidates to maintain their quota but they almost always hire from within even if the candidate is not the most qualified. I have heard this from various sources too so it's a trend unfortunately.
